Why Choose Amarillo Charter Bus
Groups choose Amarillo Charter Bus because we know how to move people through the Texas Panhandle's real-world logistics. From school trips at the Don Harrington Discovery Center to corporate events at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex, we help you avoid I-40 bottlenecks and the unsheltered walk across the Civic Center's oversized parking lot. Our fleet includes everything from sprinter vans to full-size motorcoaches, so you get the right vehicle for your headcount and budget. We're available 24/7, our pricing is transparent, and your drivers are experienced professionals who understand local routes-including how to bypass the Coulter Street exit backups during peak hours.
Amarillo Group Transportation Services We Offer
From family reunions at Thompson Park to school field trips at the Don Harrington Discovery Center, we provide charter bus service for any event in Amarillo. You can coordinate airport transfers into Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport or long-distance trips down I-27-every itinerary includes a driver, comfortable seating, and 24/7 customer support.

Amarillo Airport Transportation
Flying into Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport (AMA) at 10801 Airport Blvd with a group? This international gateway sees over 800,000 annual passengers and serves as a vital hub for American, United, and Southwest Airlines. Our charter buses and minibuses utilize the designated commercial curbside pickup zones located just outside the main terminal doors, ensuring your group skips the 16 km haul to the city center and avoids the Amarillo City Transit ACT-Connect paratransit scramble. Traffic on Airport Blvd can back up fast when multiple flights land, so having a professional driver staged and ready to head straight out on I-40 or the Loop 335 bypass is the simplest way to keep your team moving toward downtown hotel clusters without splitting into multiple rideshares.

Amarillo Concert Transportation
When your group has concert tickets, nobody wants to be the designated driver. That's why groups book concert transportation with Amarillo Charter Bus. From late-night logistics to pre-concert pickups, we handle every mile so your group stays together and on schedule.
Navigating traffic congestion and limited parking at major venues like the Amarillo Civic Center Complex, featuring the 2,300-seat Civic Center Auditorium and 4,870-seat Cal Farley Coliseum, is no joke. During large events, the city closes Bowie Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues, while the main entrance on 4th Avenue is restricted to event staff and performers-meaning your driver must drop off your group at the 3rd Avenue entrance. Inside, your driver can park in the designated oversized vehicle lot on Fillmore Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues, saving you the long walk from the garage on Tyler Street.
For outdoor shows at Hodgetown (715 S Buchanan St, Amarillo, TX 79101), your driver will drop your group off at Gate A on South Buchanan Street and stage the bus in the Civic Center's Fillmore North Lot until the show ends. This means your group avoids the post-show gridlock on I-40 and rides back to your hotel in air-conditioned comfort. With a private bus rental, your group enjoys reclining seats, powerful A/C, and a dedicated driver who handles every turn, so you can focus on the music and fun.

Amarillo Corporate Shuttle Services
When you're coordinating employee transportation for a large event at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex, which boasts 340,000 square feet of multipurpose space including the North and South Exhibit Halls, efficiency matters. The main entrance on Buchanan Street sits right in the heart of downtown Amarillo's one-way grid, where heavy event days mean traffic backups on Buchanan and 3rd Avenue. Instead of forcing your team to fight through downtown congestion or pay for limited unreserved parking, your driver will drop everyone right at Entrance 1 so your group bypasses the entire parking headache.
For multi-day events, we regularly provide hotel shuttle services connecting attendees between the downtown hotel cluster-including the Embassy Suites Amarillo Downtown (550 S Buchanan St) and Courtyard by Marriott Amarillo Downtown-and the convention center. Your driver coordinates seamless pickups while your colleagues enjoy a private ride with WiFi, power outlets, and reclining seats. From energy sector conferences at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts to construction industry expos, companies rely on us for punctual, professional transportation that keeps their people focused on business, not battling I-40 bottlenecks or downtown detours.

Amarillo Employee Shuttle Services
When your business is centered in the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation (801 S Fillmore St), efficiency isn't just a goal-it's a necessity. That's why local employers use Amarillo Charter Bus for recurring employee transportation that keeps staff moving between the Amarillo National Bank Plaza garage and the ANB Bank main entrance during high-traffic lunch hours. From sprinter vans to full-size motorcoaches, we provide right-sized vehicles for every workforce.
Whether you need a daily shuttle for Tyson Foods plant workers or a construction shuttle for Bivins Construction crews rotating between downtown sites and the Amarillo Civic Center, our fleet ensures your team arrives on time and ready to work. With custom routes bypassing the Polk Street corridor and flexible scheduling that works around Amarillo City Transit (ACT) fixed-route gaps, it's no wonder leading Panhandle employers rely on us to reduce turnover and boost productivity. Our professional drivers handle the US-87 commute so your staff can relax in climate-controlled cabins before their shift starts.

Amarillo Field Trip Transportation
Teachers and chaperones love how easy we make school field trip transportation in Amarillo. You can take your class to the Don Harrington Discovery Center or the Amarillo Zoo without having to worry about students getting separated or lost. Your driver will make sure everyone stays on track for a fun day exploring local exhibits and wildlife. You can even plan a visit to the Kwahadi Museum of the American Indian (9151 I-40) or the Wildcat Bluff Nature Center (2301 N Soncy Rd) with an itinerary built just for you. With features like WiFi, TV monitors, and reclining seats, students can watch educational videos on the way over or relax during the drive back while teachers enjoy a stress-free ride.

Amarillo Government & Military Transportation
Coordinating travel for city staff or visiting officials? Amarillo Charter Bus makes it easy to move groups between City Hall at 601 S Buchanan St and the Amarillo Civic Center at 401 S Buchanan St. Your drivers know how to navigate the Polk St corridor and handle curbside drop-offs at the Multimodal Transfer Station (509 S Bowie St) when needed, so your team stays on schedule. Charter buses let everyone ride together, keep conversations private, and avoid the hassle of parking in the Central Business District. Call 505-717-8335 to get a quote for your next government meeting or event involving the Potter County or Randall County courthouses.

Amarillo Long-Distance Bus Rentals
Long-distance travel in the Texas Panhandle is no joke, especially when you're coordinating a caravan for a major event. Whether you're shuttling students to West Texas A&M University (400 Bizzell St, College Station, TX 77843) during college tours or planning a family reunion trip to Palo Duro Canyon State Park (11450 Park Road 5, Canyon, TX 79015), Amarillo Charter Bus has the right vehicle for your group.
Our full-sized motorcoaches are built for comfort on those lengthy stretches down I-27 and I-40, featuring reclining seats, climate control, WiFi, and onboard restrooms-perfect for road trips to nearby cities like Lubbock or Albuquerque. For smaller groups, our minibus options still pack in the amenities without sacrificing mobility. You can bypass the infamous traffic bottlenecks where I-40 meets Soncy Road and let your driver handle the US-287 trek to Boise City or the I-40 run past the Cadillac Ranch. From school trips and church retreats to corporate travel and family vacations, we'll make sure your Amarillo charter bus rental keeps everyone comfortable, on schedule, and free from the hassles of coordinating multiple vehicles.

Amarillo Private Event Transportation
Planning a private event in Amarillo means juggling guests, venues, and timing. Amarillo Charter Bus makes it simple to keep everyone together, whether you're hosting at The Venue at 400 Polk or a ranch outside city limits. Our fleet covers everything from 15-passenger minibuses for family gatherings to 56-passenger charter buses for large celebrations. You won't have to worry about parking headaches near the downtown Central Business District or coordinating multiple rideshares when Amarillo City Transit (ACT) service ends at 7:00 pm. Just call 505-717-8335 and let us handle the group travel details so you can focus on your event at the Herring Hotel or the Amarillo Civic Center Complex.

Amarillo Religious Group Transportation
Faith groups often visit the The Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ (I-40 Frontage Rd, Groom), one of the world's largest cross sculptures at 190 feet tall. Buses can pull directly into the large lot at the base of the cross, so your group can unload right by the visitor center and Scripture Walk without a long walk across the Panhandle sun. Your driver will wait while your group fellowships together before enjoying a smooth ride home.
For annual events like the Hillside Christian Church Amarillo Women's Conference (6100 S Soncy Rd), a custom shuttle keeps attendees focused on worship rather than battling traffic on South Soncy Road or the I-27 interchanges. Your driver will drop passengers off right at the main entrance and park in the designated overflow area, so your group avoids the stress of circling the lot during peak service times. With onboard restrooms and reclining seats, even longer trips from Hereford or Borger remain comfortable and spiritually focused.

Amarillo Sporting Event Transportation
Fans and athletes use Amarillo Charter Bus for game-day transportation because we know how to navigate the traffic bottlenecks around Hodgetown and West Texas A&M University. When your Sod Poodles group trip pulls up to Hodgetown during a Saturday night sellout, your driver will bypass the Polk Street closures and stage your bus right at the Jerry Hodge Amphitheater entrance-so your entire fan group unloads steps from the gate without splitting into rideshares. For high school football playoffs at Dick Bivins Stadium (800 S Marrs St), your driver drops your team and band off directly at Gate 1 on the east side and parks in the designated bus lot north of Gate 3, avoiding the 34th Avenue game-day gridlock.
Coaches love our full-size charter buses for the undercarriage storage for gear, onboard restrooms, and reclining seats-perfect for long-distance travel to Lubbock or Albuquerque. Fans heading to the game can book anything from a minibus to a full-size motorcoach, ensuring everyone arrives together and on time. Instead of worrying about parking passes or hiking from distant lots near the Tri-State Fairgrounds, let us handle the logistics while you focus on the action!

Amarillo Wedding Transportation
For weddings at the Amarillo Botanical Gardens (1400 Streit Dr), an Amarillo charter bus helps your guests navigate the hidden entrance off Coulter Street. Because the venue sits within Medi Park near the Amarillo VA Health Care System, your driver will drop guests right at the front doors near the tropical dome-no one wastes time searching for the main entrance or walking a half mile in heels. While guests enjoy cocktail hour, your driver stages in the designated lot near Amarillo Blvd W to keep the loop running smoothly for your guests staying at the nearby medical district hotel cluster.
Hosting your reception at the historic Herring Hotel (311 SE 3rd Ave)? Your driver will unload passengers on the Polk Street side and handle parking in the oversized vehicle lot on Fillmore Street near the Multimodal Transfer Station. We'll coordinate every move between downtown venues and suburban churches like Hillside Christian Church so your guests stay focused on the celebration, not the logistics or the 11:00 pm rideshare surge.

Amarillo Winery and Brewery Transportation
While Amarillo sits in the heart of the High Plains, it's a hidden gem for craft beverage enthusiasts. With a private bus rental, your group can sip safely at local favorites like Pondaseta Brewing Co. (7500 SW 45th Ave) and Long Wooden Spoon Brewing (4098 Business Park Dr), or enjoy a scenic drive to nearby wineries such as Bar Z Winery (19290 FM1541, Canyon). Because navigating the I-27 corridor between Amarillo and Canyon can be a headache for a caravan, let your driver handle the 20-minute trek so your group can focus on the fun. Your driver will know exactly how to bypass the tight loading zone at Pondaseta's main entrance by staging in the adjacent Coulter Forum lot-a huge win for groups. From sprinter vans to full-size motorcoaches, we have the perfect ride for your tour. Enjoy reclining seats, air conditioning, and storage for all your purchases while you explore the Texas Panhandle wine trail.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to rent a bus in Amarillo, Texas?
+The cost of a charter bus rental in Amarillo depends on your mileage, vehicle type, and trip details, but you can expect daily rates between $1,050 and $3,800. Local trips to the Amarillo Civic Center Complex or group tours of the 13,502-foot runway vicinity at AMA are often quoted at flat daily rates, while long-distance travel like a charter bus to Albuquerque or a midland charter bus will be priced per mile. Other factors include your headcount, the time of year, and whether you need special amenities like undercarriage storage for equipment or WiFi for corporate teams.
Because Amarillo sits at the crossroads of I-40 and I-27, we'll make sure your quote reflects real fuel costs and efficient routing for your specific trip, bypassing heavy traffic on Soncy Road or the Coulter Street corridors. If you're planning a Panhandle road trip to the Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Groom, we'll walk you through every cost component so there are no surprises. Call our team anytime 505-717-8335 or text to get a 30-second quote and see how easy it is to book with Amarillo Charter Bus.
What amenities are available on each of our bus types in Amarillo, Texas?
+Amarillo Charter Bus offers a wide range of vehicles to accommodate groups of all sizes and events. Our minibus rentals can comfortably accommodate anywhere from 15 to 35 passengers and are ideal for events like family reunions at Thompson Park (2401 Dumas Dr) or corporate events at the Amarillo National Bank Plaza. A full-size charter bus rental can easily seat up to 56 passengers and is often equipped with convenient amenities like WiFi, power outlets, reclining seats, a driver's restroom, and even undercarriage storage for bulky items-making them perfect for long-distance trips to Albuquerque or Oklahoma City via the I-40 corridor.
Amarillo Charter Bus also offers sprinter vans with drivers, which can accommodate up to 15 passengers and are a great option for Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport (AMA) transfers or quick trips around the downtown Central Business District. If you're looking for a fun way to celebrate a special occasion, ask about a party bus rental in Amarillo! These flashy rides can accommodate anywhere from 10 to 50 passengers and come equipped with wraparound seating, LED lighting, and Bluetooth speakers, perfect for late-night tours of the Polk Street bar scene.
What types of vehicles do you offer in Amarillo, Texas?
+Amarillo Charter Bus offers a wide range of vehicles to fit any group size or budget. You can book anything from a minibus for a small group to a full-size charter bus for large events at the 7,000-capacity Cal Farley Coliseum. Our most popular options include sprinter vans, minibuses, and motorcoaches with seating for up to 56 passengers. Every vehicle comes with a driver and modern amenities like climate control to handle the Panhandle heat and WiFi to keep your group comfortable on the road. You'll get the right ride at the right price, every time.
What types of events & destinations do you frequently serve in Amarillo, Texas?
+Amarillo Charter Bus provides transportation for school field trips to the Amarillo Zoo, science classes at Don Harrington Discovery Center, and group tours of Cadillac Ranch. We also handle corporate travel for companies with events at the Amarillo Civic Center (401 S Buchanan St), where navigating oversized vehicle parking on Fillmore or Johnson Street is a hassle you can skip with our service. During the busy season, we manage hotel shuttles and airport transfers for tourism operators, including pickups at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport (AMA). From youth sports tournaments at the Dick Bivins Stadium to family reunions at Hodgetown, we've moved thousands of groups across Amarillo, Canyon, Lubbock, and Clovis.
How far in advance should I book my Amarillo, Texas bus rental?
+As a general rule of thumb, the earlier you book, the better. We typically recommend groups secure their charter bus at least 1 to 2 months in advance to ensure we have enough time to coordinate logistics and find the right vehicle. However, for large-scale events like Sod Poodles games at Hodgetown or the Tri-State Fair & Rodeo (3301 SE 10th Ave), it's best to book your group transportation at least 3 months ahead of time, as there is increased demand for charter bus rentals during these events. If your trip falls during the busy spring season-which includes local high school graduations for Amarillo ISD and Canyon ISD, West Texas A&M University commencement ceremonies, and wedding season events at venues like The Venue at 400 Polk-or you plan to attend the Coors Cowboy Club Ranch Rodeo in June or the Amarillo Chamber Good Times Celebration Barbecue Cook-Off in September, aim for that 3-6 month window. The longer you wait, the more likely it is that your ideal bus will be booked up, and you may end up paying a higher rate due to seasonal demand.
Popular Amarillo Charter Bus Destinations
We regularly help groups get to Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Hodgetown Stadium, and the Amarillo Civic Center Complex. Your drivers know the best routes for smooth drop-offs at Entrance 1 on Buchanan Street and pickups at the Fillmore Street oversized vehicle lot at each location.

Amarillo Civic Center Complex (including Cal Farley Coliseum)
If you're organizing a large-scale convention, concert, or sporting event, the Amarillo Civic Center Complex is likely your primary destination. This 340,000-square-foot facility hosts everything from rodeos and Wranglers hockey games in the 4,870-seat Cal Farley Coliseum to major trade shows in the North Exhibit Hall. Because the complex sits directly on the one-way downtown grid where Buchanan Street (TX-136) meets 3rd Avenue, game-day traffic can bottleneck fast-especially during sold-out Broadway tours at the 2,300-seat Civic Center Auditorium. Our drivers know how to bypass the 10th Avenue congestion and stage your group efficiently. We coordinate seamless drop-offs at Entrance 1 or 4 so attendees aren't stuck walking multiple blocks in unpredictable Panhandle weather.
401 S Buchanan St, Amarillo, TX 79101
(806) 378-3096

Tri-State Fairgrounds
The Tri-State Fairgrounds host some of the region's largest annual events, including the massive Tri-State Fair & Rodeo and the Amarillo Chamber Barbecue Cook-Off. During fair week, SE 10th Avenue becomes a parking nightmare, and attempting to shuttle a group via rideshare from I-40 hotel clusters can take over an hour. With Amarillo Charter Bus, your driver navigates the Grand Street surge and pulls directly into the Gate 2 drop-off loop near the Rex Baxter Building. Your bus remains parked in the oversized lot, ready to pick up your group whenever they're done. This means no long walks across dusty lots or fighting for a spot in the middle of the Texas wind while visiting the Amarillo National Center.

Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts
For school trips, performing arts tours, or corporate outings, the Globe-News Center offers world-class acoustics in the 1,300-seat Carol Bush Emeny Performance Hall. The venue sits on busy Buchanan Street directly across from the Civic Center, making individual vehicle coordination nearly impossible on performance nights. Our charter buses utilize the dedicated loading lane right in front of the main lobby, allowing your entire group to disembark together. After drop-off, your driver stages the vehicle in the Civic Center's oversized lot on Fillmore and returns curbside as soon as the show ends. This eliminates the stress of circling downtown or splitting up your attendees near the Gilliland Education Room.
500 S Buchanan St, Amarillo, TX 79101
(806) 378-3096

Starlight Ranch Event Center
Starlight Ranch Event Center draws massive crowds for concerts, festivals, and special events like the Big Texan Steak Challenge. Located just north of I-40 near the famous Big Texan Steak Ranch, the venue relies on a single-entry road (Sunrise Drive) that backs up quickly before and after headliner performances. Instead of forcing your group to navigate post-show traffic in a multi-car convoy, our charter buses pull directly into the main lot for a hassle-free unload near the main gates. Your driver remains onsite, so there's no risk of being stranded in the dark or waiting hours for a rideshare surge to subside while everyone else is fighting to get back onto the I-40 frontage road.

Texas Route 66 Festival (Annual Event)
The Texas Route 66 Festival transforms the city into a gridlocked maze of street closures, parades, and pedestrian-only zones. On the final day, the Route 66 Historic District (6th Avenue) is completely closed to through traffic between Georgia and Western Streets. Attempting to drive a personal vehicle into the district means parking miles away or getting caught in a detour loop near the San Jacinto neighborhood. Our charter buses drop passengers off at the designated 6th & Georgia staging area before relocating to nearby lots. This allows your group to enjoy the festival without worrying about distant parking garages, rideshare surges, or navigating around the massive cattle drive parade route that winds through the downtown core.

(806) 374-1497

Hodgetown Stadium
Hodgetown Stadium sits in the heart of downtown Amarillo, drawing thousands of fans for Sod Poodles games and high school championships. On game days, the surrounding streets (Buchanan, Tyler, 8th, and Fillmore) become saturated with both foot and vehicle traffic, especially near the Embassy Suites. Parking garages like the one at 5th and Fillmore fill up early, and rideshare pickup waits spike after the final out. Our charter buses coordinate drop-offs along Buchanan Street near the main entrance at Gate A, then relocate to pre-arranged oversized vehicle lots near the Multimodal Transfer Station. When the game ends, your driver is staged and ready to roll, ensuring a smooth exit for your entire group via the I-40 ramp just blocks away.
